Grade: (6) Distinction

The course explored the impact that government and business have on one another in a national and international context. It asks what consequences these relationships have for both government and business, particularly in the context of the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic and it's impact on the tourism industry. It offers insights into how government policies and practices affect business and how business influences and relates to government. At the heart of this course lies the issue of government intervention in business in Australia and elsewhere around the world.

Tourism is one of the driving forces of Australia’s economy, reaching far and wide across the country generating growth, jobs, investment and vibrancy in Australia’s largest cities through to its most remote communities. With a new focus on building industry resilience, the Australian Tourism and Industry Council is also helping to develop Australia’s nest long term tourism strategy, Tourism 2030. Australian tourism significantly creates jobs and brings amenities to local areas which ultimately benefits the community.

I also completed this course in the peak on the global pandemic, and it was challenging for me to learn online seperating learning from the campus.
