(it's 'Codi' backwards!)

As a small freelance artist with an unwavering passion for art and design, creativity has always been the driving force in my life. Whether it's crafting visually stunning graphics on Adobe platforms or bringing my imagination to life on canvas, I find immense joy in the process of creation. Idocdesigns is a platform where I always called my corner of creativity. While freelancing allows me to explore various projects, painting remains my cherished side hobby — If you're curious to explore my creations, you're welcome to take a peek at some of my art below :)

My Basketball Life

PASSION FOR SPORT

Alongside my studies and career, sport was a huge part of my life for more than 13 years. I grew up playing basketball on the Gold Coast and competed at a semi-professional level, eventually becoming Captain of the Griffith University Women’s Basketball Team.

Basketball gave me far more than an outlet outside of study. It taught me how to work within a team, communicate under pressure, lead by example, take responsibility, and keep showing up when things don't go to plan. Being a captain in particular taught me that leadership isn't always about being the loudest person in the room — it's about understanding the people around you, bringing out the best in your team and taking responsibility when it matters.

In 2019, I was awarded a college basketball scholarship and travelled to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, where I spent a semester immersed in the college basketball environment. It was an experience that challenged me personally and professionally, exposing me to a completely different culture, level of competition and way of life.

When I returned to Australia in March 2020, the world changed with the arrival of COVID-19. I ultimately made the decision to prioritise my studies in Australia, bringing that chapter of my basketball journey to a close.

While I no longer play competitively, the lessons I gained through more than a decade of sport continue to influence who I am today — particularly my approach to teamwork, leadership, resilience and commitment.

These days, I still prioritise an active lifestyle through swimming, running, gym and staying active wherever I can. Sport may look different in my life now, but the mindset it gave me has stayed with me.
